On September 13, Oath Ceremony of the 1st year students of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and as well as the students completed their initial military training was held at the National Flag Square.
Police Major General Nazim Aliyev, head of the Academy in his opening speech welcomed the students and delivered congratulations and best wishes of the Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov to the participants. Moment of silence was observed in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and of those who became martyr for sovereignty, territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as the police officers who died while fulfilling their duties and national anthem was performed.
Students stood in a row at the area and took an oath of the Police.
Representing the parents Madat Mammadov said in his speech that the day is one of the most important days in the life of first year students. According to him, it is pride to study at the Police Academy which is distinguished by its influence, high scientific potential and strong technical base. It was noted that care of the state on the youth strengthened after returning of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power. The policy of our National Leader in this field is successfully continued by honorable president Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
In the final speech Police Major General Nazim Aliyev expressed his assurance that the place, where the students of the Police Academy, having one of the happiest day in their life, take their oath, will remain in their memories forever. Head of the Academy recommended the students taking their oath to be always loyal to the state, statehood and the people, to study well and to master the legal knowledge in details. In the end of the ceremony the students marched and saw National Flag Square Museum.
