23.10.2014On October 23 Azerbaijan`s Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General Ramil Usubov received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli.
Welcoming the guest the Minister said the UAE was one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan`s independence. Mr. Usubov also noted that the United Arab Emirates had always supported Azerbaijan within international organizations and that bilateral relations between the two countries had been developing successfully.
The Minister also informed the guest of the Ministry’s functional tasks and activity directions, tense sociopolitical and criminal situation in the country during first years of independency, reforms, stability, safety achieved after National Leader heydar Aliyev’s historical returning to the power after demand of the people and creation of normal conditions for foreign investments into the country’s economy.
Speaking of his visit to the United Arab Emirates in the end of 2007 Mr.Usubov said that Azerbaijan was interested in developing relations between the two countries` relevant authorities, adding this meeting would contribute to boosting cooperation even further.
Thanking the Minister for sincere reception and detailed information, Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli praised security and stability in all regions of Azerbaijan and in Baku. The diplomat said he would do his best to contribute to deepening bilateral ties between the two countries.
