22.06.2016The Minister of Internal Affairs, colonel general Ramil Usubov has received Mrs. Aurelia Bouchez the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the France to our country on June 22.
The minister greeting the visitor wished her god luck in her diplomatic activities in our country and stated that he hoped that the Azeri-French relations would be further extended during her activities.
The minister reminding that France is one of the first states recognizing the independence of Azerbaijan whose embassy began to act in our republic delivered to the attention that the cooperation betüeen our countries in all fields grew with rasing line for recent years, the inevitable services of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in in building these relations, the bilateral relations made a step on the new plane in terms of quality in the result of political will and bilateral visits of the heads of the states.
The French diplomat was provided information on the intensive social-political events happening in our country for the first years of the independence, return of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the power by the demand of the people, comprehensive legal-democratic and socio-economic reforms carried out under his leadership, combating crime decisievely, restoration of stability, taking under control the criminogenic situation, she was stated that our country was integrated to the Europe, new laws resting on democratic principles, regulating the performance of the police were adopted, a number of developed states, international organizations and as well as French experts had a great role in this work, the execution of those laws is of significant importance.
The minister saying that the international cooperation is also important in improvement of the performance in accordance with the advanced world experience had importat noted that during the last 1 years about 7 thousand associates were involved into multiple training through the line of a number of international organizations, and this made a positive influence to the general works.
it was stated that, in order to extend the cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs, the draft memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of France was prepared and submitted to the counterparty and signing of that document would create efficient legal grounds for development of the relations.
Colonel-general Ramil Usubov delivered to the attention that significant works have been done in the field of protection of the human rights and freedoms, provision of the customer satisfaction, the management of the MIA approached to this work with special sensitivity.
It was stressed while touching the problems that international terrorism being one of the main types of transnational organized crime, illegal turnover of drugs, trafficking in human beings and illegal migration stand in the center of attention and it is necessary to unite the efforts in efficient combating such dangerous cases of global nature. The minister, especially reminding that our country always suffers from terrorism, expressed his condolences to the ambassador in respect to perish of peaceful and innocent citizens during the terror acts in the Paris last year.
Mrs. Aurelia Bouchez expressed gratitude for cordial reception, detailed information and condolences, she expressed her satisfaction with tolerance environment and multicultural values in our republic, and stated that she would not refuse her efforts for further development of bilateral relations during her activity period.
